Welcome to Ms. Carros’ 5th Grade Blog!



We will begin reading Esperanza Rising by Pam Muñoz Ryan, one of my favorite novels! As we read and participate in activities during class, this blog will be used as a tool to communicate our interpretations and understandings of the novel. We will be participating in blog posts to share our thoughts and have conversations regarding each chapter. We will also be participating in Flipgrid video posts to share our ideas and use peer reflection as a tool to grow. This blog will also contain fun activities and tools that will help us develop our vocabulary, understand difficult concepts and expand our understandings! I cannot wait to experience Esperanza’s journey with all of you!
